Water Sports Carnival

Yesterday..my company organized a sports carnival but it's limited to Water sports. For this event, i joined Dragon Boat since i had joined the PjH Paddlers Club..and we do weekly dragon boat training.

For this particular event...there were 3 categories. Mixed - 20, Men - 10, and Women - 10 all at the distance of 400m. My house 'GREEN WARRIORS' got 2nd in mixed 20, and 3rd for both Men n Women 10. But it was very exciting. For the mixed 20, we had to row twice since there were only 2 big boat. We won the 1st match by 1 boat distance. But we lost the final by 1 feet distance. :( The biggest disadvantage we had was we don't have any subtitutes. This is due to the poor dividing of department into houses. My house only have Residential Departments..with average age of 37. *sigh*

One of the funniest event was 'pukul bantal' where 2 contestant will sit on a log and try to hit each other to fall into the water. The 1st match up was Women Green and Red. It's the longest pukul bantal event on that day. They continued hitting each other for more than 15 minutes. (2 kayak event finished when they hitting each others...hahaha!) In the end both of them agreed to have a draw and jump into the water together. Hehe.. The winner was then decided by coin toss. And we won the coin toss. Hahaha.. :p

So..the final result was Winner - Blue Shark, Runner Up - Yellow Dragon(is dragon usually yellow colour??), 2nd Runner Up - Green Warriors, Last Placing - Red Fighters. I really gave my all and have no regrets on our result. We had a close fight and only 2 point difference with Runner Up. I'll try to get the pictures by next week. Maybe i can upload it here. :)

ps: need to work more on improving my stamina..seems like my current training is not enuff.
